IDEBIO S.L is a Spanish biotechnology company established in1996. Since it’s inception it has developed different products for biological pest control primarily focussing on agriculture (which includes every kind of green areas and nurseries), with the aim of controlling pests and plant diseases through biological control organisms (BCO) and natural products that act like bio-stimulated crop protector and plant growth promoters.

For this purpose different products have been developed: Biorend®, Biorend R®, Biosamina®, Polybio ID®…These products are mainly based on the use of entomopathogenic nematodes (BCO) mixed in a chitosan formulation, a natural product derived from chitin (Basic Substance).

Idebio has made research and investigation through different Institutes, investigation centers, universities and furthermore field trials to verify its effectiveness through trials in different crops in Spain and abroad.

Today, there are more than 6.974 ha. of stone fruit trees treated in Spain with Biorend R® against Flat head root borer (Capnodis tenebrionis), more than 680 ha. of olive trees treated against (Anoxia Villosa y Othiorrhynchus sulcatus), more than 2.660 hectares of green houses against Thrips, White fly, Caterpillar, and Phitoparasitic nematodes (Frankliniella occidentalis, Bemisia tabaci, Trialeurodes vaporariorum, Spodoptera litoralis and Meloidgyne spp), more than 700 ha. of vineyard against Meloidogyne spp, and more than 127.062 palm trees treated against Red Palm Weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrigineus).
